Irina Neagu Muceli joined Elgon as Head of Sales & Marketing

  • Who are you?

A passionate woman, an energic person

I am a former professional handball player that jumped into the IT world 13th years ago, full of energy and passion. I am doing my best to combine my professional life with the private one, I am a loving spouse and a dedicated mother. I’m an European citizen, I speak six languages and I love Luxembourg, the country that gave me the opportunity to collaborate and learn from great experts in multiple domains.

  • What is your professional background?

Sports and IT

My professional career started with the golden medal at the U20 World Championship in Brazil in 1995 and I was privileged to play handball several years in the European Champions’ League.

In 2007 I joined a subsidiary of POST Group with the mission of promoting the mobility at its early stages; companies like Telindus and Dimension Data gave me the opportunity to learn and develop my IT skills, as well as the knowledge of our great Luxembourg market.

In 2016 I onboarded the wonderful Microsoft house where I had the responsibility to transform the Luxembourgian partners and customers landscape towards modern IT.

Since 2019 I was honoured to lead the Azure Sales activities and support the European Union Institutions and Agencies in their journey to the Cloud. It was a powerful experience!

  • What is your mission at Elgon?

Head of Sales and Marketing

I am very respectful towards the opportunity to lead the Sales and Marketing activities at Elgon. I joined a company where the technical expertise is part of the DNA; my mission will be to connect this know-how with the business transformation challenges of the Luxembourgian market, while taking benefit of the strong value proposition of Microsoft.

We live great moments in IT, the digital transformation needs to happen at all levels in the private and public sector and my ambition is to contribute to it together with all my colleagues and the POST Group entities.
